કાળની સામાન્ય માહીતી

Tense

સામાન્ય રીતે કાળ ૩ પ્રકારના હોય છે.

૧. ભૂતકાળ ( Past Tense  )
૨. વર્તમાન કાળ ( Present  Tense )
૩. ભવિષ્ય કાળ  ( Future  Tense  )

તેવી જ રીતે કાળ પણ ૪ પ્રકાર હોય છે

૧. સાદો ભૂતકાળ ( Simple Past Tense ) – કોઈ ક્રિયા થઇ / ક્રિયા ન થઇ તેવું દર્શાવવા માટે .
૨. સાદો વર્તમાન ( Simple Present Tense ) – કોઈ ક્રિયા થાય છે /  ક્રિયા થતી નથી તેવું દર્શાવવા માટે.
૩. સાદો ભવિષ્ય કાળ ( Simple Future Tense ) – કોઈ ક્રિયા થશે /  ક્રિયા નહિ થાય તેવું દર્શાવવા માટે.

૪. ચાલુ ભૂતકાળ ( Continuous Past Tense ) – ભૂતકાળ માં ક્રિયા ચાલી રહી હતી /  ભૂતકાળ માં ક્રિયા ચાલી રહી ન હતી તેવું દર્શાવવા માટે.
૫. ચાલુ વર્તમાનકાળ  ( Continuous Present Tense ) – વર્તમાનમાં ક્રિયા ચાલી રહી છે. /  વર્તમાનમાં ક્રિયા ચાલી રહી નથી તેવું દર્શાવવા માટે.
૬. ચાલુ ભવિષ્યકાળ  ( Continuous Future Tense ) – ભવિષ્યમાં ક્રિયા ચાલી રહી હશે /  ભવિષ્યમાં ક્રિયા ચાલી રહી નહિ હોય તેવું દર્શાવવા માટે.

૭. પૂર્ણ ભૂતકાળ ( Perfect Past Tense ) – ભૂતકાળમાં ક્રિયા પૂર્ણ થઇ ગયી / થઇ ગયી ન હતી  તે દર્શાવવા માટે.
૮. પૂર્ણ વર્તમાનકાળ ( Perfect Present Tense ) – વર્તમાનમાં ક્રિયા પૂર્ણ થઇ ગયી છે / થઇ ગયી નથી તે દર્શાવવા માટે.
૯. પૂર્ણ ભવિષ્ય કાળ  ( Perfect Future Tense ) – ભવિષ્યમાં ક્રિયા પૂર્ણ થઇ ગયી હશે / પૂર્ણ થઇ ગયી નહિ હોય તે દર્શાવવા માટે.

૧૦. ચાલુ પૂર્ણ ભૂતકાળ ( Continuous Perfect Past Tense ) – ભૂતકાળમાં અમુક સમયથી ક્રિયા થઇ રહી હતી / થઇ રહી ન હતી તે દર્શાવવા માટે.
૧૧. ચાલુ પૂર્ણ વર્તમાનકાળ ( Continuous Perfect Present Tense ) – વર્તમાન માં અમુક સમય થી ક્રિયા થઇ રહી છે./ અમુક સમય થી ક્રિયા થઇ રહી નથી તેવું દર્શાવવા માટે.

૧૨. ચાલુ પૂર્ણ ભવિષ્ય કાળ  ( Continuous Perfect future Tense ) – ભવિષ્યમાં અમુક સમય થી ક્રિયા થઇ રહી છે./ અમુક સમય થી ક્રિયા થઇ રહી નથી તેવું દર્શાવવા માટે.  

 સહાયકારક ક્રિયાપદો  – Helping Verbs

૧. Can                         :   કાર્યક્ષમતા ( Ability ) દર્શાવવા માટે.
૨. Could                     :   ભૂતકાળમાં કોઈ ક્રિયા કરી શક્યા તે દર્શાવવા માટે.
૩. Could  Have        :   ભૂતકાળમાં કોઈ ક્રિયા કરી શક્યા હોત તે દર્શાવવા માટે.

૪. Should                  :   સલાહ આપવા માટે / નૈતિક ફરજના રૂપે
૫. Should  Have     :   કરવું જોઈતું હતું / કરવું જોઈતું ન હતું તે દર્શાવવા માટે.

૬. Must                :   ફરજીયાત ( Compulsory ) કે order ના રૂપે કાર્ય કરવા માટે. ( કરવું જ જોઈએ / કરવું ન જ જોઈએ )
૭. Must  Have         :   થયું જ હશે / થયું નહિ જ હોય તેવું દર્શાવવા માટે.

૮. May                       :   કદાચ થશે / કદાચ નહિ થાય
૯. Might Have        :    કદાચ થયું હશે / કદાચ નહિ થયું હોય
